Join Us for the Global Tele-mapathon on December 4th, 2024!
We’re excited to invite you to participate in the Global Tele-mapathon 2024, a 24-hour worldwide event in recognition of Giving Tuesday and International Volunteer Day. This is a unique opportunity to join mappers, NGOs, corporate partners, and changemakers from across the globe as we map in support of communities facing disasters, poverty, and instability.
Each session will run for 2 hours, with mapping activities hosted by HOT staff and volunteers across 12 time zones. You’ll have the chance to map remotely, hear from inspiring guest speakers, and engage in fun activities like trivia, and live challenges. Whether you’re a seasoned mapper or new to open mapping, this event offers something for everyone.
By attending, you’ll be making a tangible impact—contributing to maps that are used for disaster response, health services, infrastructure planning, and sustainable development programs. You’ll also connect with a global community, working together to create data that saves lives and empowers communities.
